The location is fantastic, right in front of the Triumphal Arch and just a short walk to the old town, making it convenient for sightseeing.
The staff at the front desk lacked local knowledge, difficult to get helpful information about shuttle services.

Excellent location, you can have a kettle in your room.
Breakfast was poor, hotel needs cosmetic repairs.

Hotel Staff at the reception were not friendly. They were inmature to attend international guests. I think management should keep senior staff who can understand Guest needs & Their Problems . Breakfast was O.K.

Hotel was within walking distance of the railway station and the historical quarter of town. Bedroom was quiet, comfortable and of a good size. The staff were helpful about sites to see and places to eat.

The family room was great with a truly comfy king-size bed, and the breakfast had just enough variety to start the day off right. I loved relaxing in the cozy lounge after a day of exploring the area. The little wellness area was a nice touch. Just a heads-up, the breakfast options could use a bit more flair, but overall, it was a solid stay! 😊

Construction activity outside of the hotel was a real drawback. We were not impressed by the diesel engine at 6am.

The Goldene Krone is ideally located right by the Triumphpforte, offering a splendid view and only a short 5-minute stroll to the old town. The breakfast spread is a delight with fresh breads, cold cuts, and a great coffee machine for a perfect start to any day.
Room cleanliness could be improved.

The staff was friendly, and beds and bathroom were very clean. The hotel had a good location especially for those arriving by train. It's close to the train station and within comfortable walking distance of the old part of town. It's also one of the few hotels that provides sufficient toilet paper! The room was large and spacious.
The decor is dated and doesn't complement the historic significance of the hotel, which is a real shame as it has a lot of potential. The bathroom is a little too compact and modular (literally) for our taste. The carpets were stained although everything was very clean. The breakfast room has a smoking and non-smoking section, which are not clearly labelled and we accidently ended up subjecting ourself to cigarette smoke at breakfast. Our major frustration, however, was that the hotel advertised itself as having wifi but then informed us that it was "broken" and that we could use the internet kiosk in the foyer for 1 Euro per 10 minutes. This turned out to be as cumbersome as using as an oxwagon on a ski-run and clearly a money-making ploy. Very disappointing especially since other hotels offer it for free or for a very small fee. Not acceptable at all in today's day and age. It would only recommend it for its cleanliness and location.
